Bonded NdFeB (Neodymium) Magnets

Bonded NdFeB magnets — injection moulded and compression moulded neodymium magnets with complex geometry, tight tolerances and isotropic or anisotropic magnetization. Manufacturer in Ningbo, China.

Bonded NdFeB magnets are produced by compounding NdFeB powder with polymer binders and moulding the mixture into finished shapes. They allow complex geometries, thin walls, inserts and multi-pole magnetization that sintered magnets cannot achieve economically.

Ningbo Pole Magnet offers both injection moulding (for complex 3D shapes with plastic inserts) and compression moulding (for higher magnetic output) of bonded NdFeB, covering isotropic and anisotropic grades.

FAQ

Bonded NdFeB (Neodymium) Magnets — Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between injection and compression moulded bonded NdFeB?
Injection moulding allows complex shapes, thin sections, metal inserts and tight tolerances but gives lower magnetic energy. Compression moulding achieves higher density and stronger magnetic properties at the cost of simpler shapes and larger minimum sizes.
Can bonded NdFeB magnets be magnetized in multiple poles?
Yes, bonded magnets are ideal for multi-pole magnetization — rings and discs with 2 to 24 poles are common for encoder and sensor applications.
Do you provide free samples for testing?
Yes, sample orders are welcome. Send your drawing or specification together with the intended application so our engineers can recommend the correct grade, magnetization direction and coating before we prepare samples.
Can the factory produce to my drawing with special tolerances?
Yes. We machine, grind and inspect to customer drawing tolerances. For sintered NdFeB the standard machining tolerance is ±0.05 mm and can be tightened to ±0.02 mm with diamond grinding where the geometry allows.
What coating options do you recommend for NdFeB magnets?
Nickel (Ni-Cu-Ni) for general indoor use, zinc for cost-sensitive applications, and epoxy or Parylene for environments with humidity, salt or organic solvents. Our QC team can help select the best coating for your operating environment.
