Ferrite / Ceramic Permanent Magnets

Ferrite and ceramic permanent magnet manufacturer — hard ferrite arc, block, ring, disc, irregular and injection ferrite magnets. Corrosion-resistant, up to 6,000 tons annual capacity, ISO 9001 certified.

Ferrite magnets (also called ceramic magnets) are made from strontium or barium ferrite powder pressed and sintered into strong, corrosion-resistant permanent magnets. They cost far less than rare earth magnets and need no protective coating in most environments.

With a ferrite capacity of over 6,000 tons per year, Ningbo Pole Magnet supplies ferrite arc magnets for motors, blocks for separators, rings and discs for loudspeakers, and injection ferrite for complex assemblies.

FAQ

Ferrite / Ceramic Permanent Magnets — Frequently Asked Questions

Why choose ferrite magnets instead of NdFeB?
Ferrite magnets are much cheaper, corrosion-resistant without coating, and stable at temperatures up to 250 °C, but roughly 8–10 times weaker magnetically per unit volume. They are ideal for cost-sensitive, high-temperature or outdoor applications.
Are ferrite magnets affected by humidity?
No. Ferrite magnets are naturally corrosion-resistant and can operate without coating outdoors and in humid environments, which is why they dominate speaker, motor and separator applications.
Do you provide free samples for testing?
Yes, sample orders are welcome. Send your drawing or specification together with the intended application so our engineers can recommend the correct grade, magnetization direction and coating before we prepare samples.
Can the factory produce to my drawing with special tolerances?
Yes. We machine, grind and inspect to customer drawing tolerances. For sintered NdFeB the standard machining tolerance is ±0.05 mm and can be tightened to ±0.02 mm with diamond grinding where the geometry allows.
What coating options do you recommend for NdFeB magnets?
Nickel (Ni-Cu-Ni) for general indoor use, zinc for cost-sensitive applications, and epoxy or Parylene for environments with humidity, salt or organic solvents. Our QC team can help select the best coating for your operating environment.
