Cast AlNiCo production involves melting the alloy, investment casting to shape, heat treatment in a magnetic field to orient the easy axis, and final magnetization.

Sintered AlNiCo follows a powder metallurgy route with pressing and sintering.

FAQ

AlNiCo Magnet Production Flow — FAQ

Why is AlNiCo heat treated in a magnetic field?
Applying a magnetic field during cooling from high temperature aligns the alloy microstructure along the desired axis, greatly increasing the magnet's output.
What is the typical lead time for cast AlNiCo?
Cast AlNiCo usually ships in 25–35 days after mould confirmation, including casting, heat treatment and grinding.
Do you provide free samples for testing?
Yes, sample orders are welcome. Send your drawing or specification together with the intended application so our engineers can recommend the correct grade, magnetization direction and coating before we prepare samples.
Can the factory produce to my drawing with special tolerances?
Yes. We machine, grind and inspect to customer drawing tolerances. For sintered NdFeB the standard machining tolerance is ±0.05 mm and can be tightened to ±0.02 mm with diamond grinding where the geometry allows.
