Bonded SmCo magnets combine samarium cobalt powder with polymer binder for complex geometries with better temperature stability than bonded NdFeB.
They are used in high-temperature sensors and actuators where complex shape and heat resistance are both required.

FAQ
Bonded SmCo Magnets — FAQ
How does bonded SmCo compare with bonded NdFeB?
Bonded SmCo offers better temperature stability and corrosion resistance but lower magnetic output per volume, at higher material cost.
What shapes can be injection moulded in SmCo?
Complex 3D geometries, thin walls and overmoulded inserts are all possible, similar to bonded NdFeB.
Do you provide free samples for testing?
Yes, sample orders are welcome. Send your drawing or specification together with the intended application so our engineers can recommend the correct grade, magnetization direction and coating before we prepare samples.
Can the factory produce to my drawing with special tolerances?
Yes. We machine, grind and inspect to customer drawing tolerances. For sintered NdFeB the standard machining tolerance is ±0.05 mm and can be tightened to ±0.02 mm with diamond grinding where the geometry allows.
